Seasons 1-4 were basically perfect, not much to say. There were so many great moments, so many great episodes there. But then… well, the writers ran out of books to adapt. Seasons 5 and 6 were pretty boring most of the time.

But they really had their moments, even with some of the show’s best episodes. In season 7 you could really see the decline in quality. It all felt so rushed, most of it was really stupid. Season 8, the biggest disappointment I have ever seen. I have never seen anything more terrible.
Everything felt even more rushed
The ending was the stupidest thing I have ever seen. All the characters were so stupid. And all the characters were pretty much destroyed because of the writing. Overall I still give it a 9/10 just for the first half of the show. And it still had its moments.
It really is a show worth watching
I would still consider this show a masterpiece and would 100% recommend it.
