I liked the visual style combined with the overt sexual content; this seemed to be the female gaze at work. I’ve never seen a film like this before, and I really enjoyed it. Follows Anne (Joanna Arnow), a Brooklyn woman in a long-term, unsatisfying BDSM relationship (which bears a comical resemblance to her daytime identity as a subordinate corporate drone), as she navigates her family, friendship, and dating attempts. Normal.” I would recommend it if you like dry humor and appreciate nuanced characters.
